Am I really telling her all of this? Why?

“What do you mean?” She asks as she steps closer.

Her hands are still slick with her father’s drying blood, it’s all over her face and in the thick waves of her hair. I want to lick it off every inch of her face and see if it tastes as good as she does.

“Brody?”

“Go wash up, I can’t concentrate when you’re full of blood.” I tell her. “My mother’s closet is there, grab some clothes.”

She looks back down to her hands again and I watch as her face slowly begins to tremble. “His blood for hers, right?”

“Oui.” I nod and clear my throat. “Yeah.”

She lifts the blood splattered white shirt over her head and drops it on the white carpet. Kailey-Himari Richard was always beautiful, that will never change but right now, standing in front of me, covered in blood and looking savage, she’s breathtaking.

Her breasts are a perfect handful, pert and perky. Her stomach is toned and narrow. Her legs long and her ass is almost too big for her figure… almost. She turns on her heel and walks into the bathroom, closing the door behind her. A few seconds later, I hear the shower turn on and I exhale my bated breath. I can’t waver for this girl, I need to remember what she did to me and what she did to us.

I storm out of the room, my anger renewed and stalk into mine. Her piece of shit father is making a fucking mess with his blood seeping into my fucking wood. I pry my hunting knife out of his cold stiff hand and then pull out the switchblade lodged in his neck.

With the knife free, I watch as his thickening blood oozes out and splatters to the floor. This man was someone I used to look up to, a father figure I could rely on, and an extension of the family I saw in the girl that stole my heart then kept it.

I was always enamored by Kailey but once I was old enough to understand that adults marry and raise families, I deemed her my person. I basically wrapped up my broken, defective heart and placed it in her safe keeping. All these years I've been without it and as cold as I am, I knew she still kept my only warmth safe.

I just can't forgive her for leaving me in a world where she was my only saving grace. Worst part was that she knew it, she knew my home life was tumultuous, she knew I was suffering at school, and she knew her house was my refuge. Then, she took it all away with no explanation and no remorse.

The months after leading into years, I became more and more bitter, and every time I saw her face, I wanted to watch her suffer. Then Zeke almost died and his road to despising Kailey began.

Zeke was never fully on board with our bullying Kailey in freshman and sophomore years, he watched but never really participated.
